Speaking
"When have you ever heard a speaker immediately turn
on all the sensors in your mind? Noel has a contagious passion
for life that is shared individually with the entire audience.
His talks give people the motivation and knowledge they need to
make real changes in their lives. Every person feels he is talking
just to them as an individual. What a gift!"
Wayne Berry, Agriculture Extension, North Dakota State University
"Noel McNaughton delivered a keynote presentation to
our staff on the future of prairie agriculture. Noel researches
his topics well and gives the impression that he truly cares about
the subject matter. He also goes to great lengths to understand
his client's needs. As a result, his presentation was both stimulating
and highly releveant to our group. In addition, Noel's anecdotal
speaking style appeals to a diverse audience. He succeeds in delivering
his message in an entertaining way, while at the same time leaving
the group with valuable food for thought."
Julie Kennett, Rural Development Officer, PFRA South Alberta Region

Consulting and Training
“Noel has a very unique ability to convey new concepts to
people in ways that they can easily understand and relate to.
He also actively involves people in exercises related to the material
he is teaching which greatly enhances learning, understanding
and retention.”
Don Nelson, PhD, Washington State University, Project Head, Four-State
Sustainability Project
"Noel is an asset to the community with his desire to
and skills in helping people learn. The time my husband and I
spent in one course was one of the change points in our farm and
family life. What came after was driven by us, because of the
work we did with Noel."
Susan Meyer, farmer and Rural Organizational Development Specialist,
Alberta Government
"As an administrator Farm Management Training Programs
I have also worked with Noel for over 4 years. I have always been
impressed by the passion and commitment he has for caring for
the environment and generally helping people become all they can
be. Of all the programs I have worked with and supported in the
agriculture field, Noel's rates at the top as far as having a
positive impact on people's lives and the agriculture industry."

"Noel's ability to see the heart of a matter and help me move
forward was tremendous support and guidance.”
Irene L., lawyer, Seattle
"Noel's extraordinary sensibilities and heart connections
with people help zero in on the issues confronting his clients.
His amazing instincts helped move me to clarity and action much
faster than I could have imagined. He is truly one of a kind and
a natural coach."
Carle C., Marketing Executive, Boulder, CO
"Noel brings a richness of both life and business experience
to his coaching. His coaching provides a safe context to exploring
an area of concern, while still pushing one's thinking with piercing
and challenging questions. Noel is the wise mentor most of us
seek but never find in our workplace."
Stuart M., Consultant, Cupertino, CA
"Brian and I agree that coaching was worth every bit
of sweat that formed on our brows when you wouldn't stop asking
probing questions. WE knew that YOU knew that WE knew the answers
and you became the voice in the back of our head that does not
register excuses. However, your role as a coach was not that simple
and did not end there. Your great gift is that unlike most relationships
where our confidants take some credit for themselves you heaped
the credit on us. You made us use our own problem solving tools
instead of borrowing yours."

Holistic Management
"Noel taught a four day Holistic Management training
session for WSU in Colville with excellent results. There were
sixty people in the class with wide ranging backgrounds. A key
group in the class were 20 workers from the Stevens county public
works department. This group has continued to meet and use Holistic
Management as its management model since that time with great
success. I credit Noel and his teaching and coaching as a key
component in their success."
Wayne Madson, Institute for Extended Learning, Washington State
University
"Noel's 10-day course on Holistic Management was an excellent
presentation of theory and practice. The use of participatory
learning techniques kept us engaged and constantly made us apply
what we were learning to our own situation. His methods of facilitation
also helped to turn a class of diverse people into a support group
for further learning and application. Three years after the course,
we are still meeting once a month."
Anita Lunden, farmer and Provincial Coordinator, Canada/Alberta
Farm Business Management Program
"In other courses they talk about what we are supposed
to do, then say 'go do it'. In this course, we did it right there.
The planning process is effective and easy to understand, and
the 'testing guidelines' are so useful in helping us decide on
management actions that consider all aspects of our operation,
not just the bottom line. We have never been so clear before about
where we want to go, and now we have a way to get there."
